New guidelines for hotel reservations in quarantine for arrivals from 6 high-risk countries

Discover Qatar in partnership with Qatar Airways Holidays updated its website Tuesday evening to reflect self-funded 10-night quarantine packages at 3, 4 or 5 star hotels for arrivals in Doha on flights from Bangladesh, from India, Nepal, Pakistan and the Philippines and Sri Lanka only.

Arrivals from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka

All passengers arriving on flights to or through Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka will need to stay in one of a specified hotel group, for which you can use the search calendar on the Discover Qatar website to view availability. Prices vary depending on the hotel chosen.

The quarantine will be for a mandatory period of 10 days. You will not be allowed to board your flight without a confirmed quarantine reservation.

The PCR test carried out within 48 hours of flight departure (negative result) must be presented at check-in to be able to board your flight.

There are no quarantine exemptions for those who have been vaccinated or who have already tested positive.

For existing bookings arriving by April 28 at 11:59 p.m. local Doha time

If you have already made your hotel reservation at another hotel and arrive by April 28 at 11:59 p.m. from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka, your voucher Discover current Qatar is valid for travel.

Discover Qatar will notify you of any changes to your booking and quarantine requirements upon arrival.

There will be no additional charge between the hotel originally booked and one of the mandatory quarantine hotels in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka if there is a price difference. Likewise, you will be able to request a refund if your original quarantine reservation was more expensive than the available options.

For existing bookings arriving on or after April 29, 12:00 a.m. local Doha time

If you have already made your hotel reservation at another hotel and are arriving after April 29 at 00:00 local Doha time, Discover Qatar will contact you prior to departure to confirm that your original reservation is canceled. You will need to re-book a hotel by following the instructions provided in the email.

You will need to pay for your new reservation in full. Your initial reservation will be refunded within 15 working days. Read here for more information on this change.

New bookings made from April 27 7:00 p.m. Doha local time

All new bookings will be required to book a quarantine hotel in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka for your mandatory quarantine stay in Qatar.

All new bookings will be required to present a Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka quarantine voucher to be permitted to board a flight departing from or in transit through Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.

Any reservations made on or after April 27 7:00 p.m. local Doha time that are not at a quarantine hotel in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka for a flight to or in transit via Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka will be canceled at 100% cancellation fee.

If you are not traveling from or passing through Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka

If you are not on a flight to or in transit through Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka, you should not book a quarantine hotel in Bangladesh, India, in Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka for your mandatory quarantine stay in Qatar; you will not be allowed to check in and you will not be entitled to a refund.
