and all is not lost. With hotel occupancy rates abnormally low for the season, several of Ireland’s top hotels are hoping to attract locals by slashing their overnight rates.
All adhere to Level 3 guidelines and are aimed at people living in the county who want a real stay.
And since the Stay & Spend program gives you 20% off what you spend in restaurants and hotels in the form of income tax credits (with conditions), now might be as good as any other to think of a break.
If you’ve always wanted to try out the five-star hotel in your area, but found the price a bit prohibitive, now might be the time to grab a bargain in your own backyard.
