Accommodation for grade 12 students

The Union of Cambodia Youth Federations (UYF) will provide two-day accommodation for grade 12 students who take their national exams in the provinces.

UYF President Hun Many said he wanted to help students who reside far from their exam centers in the capital and provinces, as it would be difficult for them to travel.

He added that the UYF committee in the provincial capital has been asked to consider working with the education ministry and local authorities to provide accommodation for students staying far away so that they can take exams without having to. to worry about traveling long distances to get there and on.

Many said exam centers should also seek suitable accommodation for students, in addition to having ample parking spaces for bicycles and bicycles, in addition to strictly implementing Covid-19 preventive measures. such as wearing masks, taking temperature and social distancing.

Chu Bunroeung, provincial education director for Banteay Meanchey, told the Khmer Times yesterday that they are already providing free parking for students, but have not yet obtained details on accommodation as it is still under discussion.

“In the past, accommodation was provided to students in designated centers, but they preferred guesthouses or hotels. We are still discussing because we are ready to help students who stay away from the examination center, ”he added.

There are 115,149 applicants taking the 12th grade exam starting December 27 across the country and of those 60,682 are girls. There will be 204 centers with 4,652 rooms.
